Coyote Jump

Has this ever happened to you? You're enjoying a parkour map, and now you're just one jump away from the next checkpoint. You get ready, take a running start, press jump, and… fall to the ground, like you forgot how to jump. It's not because the controls weren't responsive, it's because that game didn't have Coyote Jump, and neither do most sandbox games. Except this one.

Coyote Jump is a Sandbox Platformer with Coyote Jump. Create your maps inside a blocky world, and play maps other have built. Master the movement at your own pace, and go for the shortcuts. If the map feels impossible, quick save without worries and find your own fun. The game is your friend.

Coyote Jump is actually present in almost every platformer game, and basically gives you a split-second of time after leaving the ground where you can still jump, making platforming much more responsive. Here this mechanic goes a step further by extending this split-second to infinity, for fun.

Ti è mai successo questo? Stai giocando una mappa parkour, e adesso ti manca giusto un salto per arrivare al prossimo checkpoint. Ti prepare, prendi la rincorsa, premi spazio, e... cadi verso il terreno, come se ti fossi dimenticato di saltare. Non è successo perché i controlli non erano reattivi, ma perché quel gioco non aveva il Coyote Jump, e neanche gran parte dei giochi sandbox lo hanno. A parte questo.

Coyote Jump è un Sandbox Platformer col Coyote Jump. Crea le tue mappe in un mondo a blocchi, e gioca mappe che altri hanno costruito. Padroneggia i controlli al tuo ritmo, e vai per le scorciatoie. Se la mappa sembra impossibile, salva velocemente senza problemi e trova il tuo divertimento. Il gioco è tuo amico.

In realtà il Coyote Jump è presente in quasi tutti i giochi platformer, e praticamente ti concede un lasso di tempo dopo che lasci il terreno in cui puoi saltare, rendendo il platforming molto più reattivo. Qui questa meccanica va un passo oltre estendendo questo lasso di tempo all'infinito, per divertimento.
